Since our last update, the student protests are still going strong, with mobilizations in the streets of France taking place every day. In its first victory, the State has been forced to make fuel price cuts, demonstrating once more that it is the masses that make history.

In our last update, we reported on calls made for demonstrations on October 8. The demonstration took place at Place de la Bastille, and thousands of students, including student unions and progressives, took part in demanding improvements to national education. As part of the demonstration, a call was made by students and education workers for strikes to be carried out on October 13.
