Italy – PLDP: Solidarity Against Censorship
We hereby share an unofficial translation of a note published by Per La Democrazia Populare on October 20.
We express our solidarity with the PMLI following the suspension of their Facebook page by Meta, yet another instance of restrictions on political dissent, freedom of opposition, and freedom of assembly.
We condemn the censorship of voices opposing the Meloni government, imperialist wars, and the interests of the ruling class and the financial elite. At the same time, we denounce the center-left’s longstanding role as a suppressor of freedoms and a warmonger.
We express our unconditional solidarity with the demands and all forms of struggle waged by the student masses and by the workers, shepherds, and farmers currently taking place in our country in recent weeks.
We must firmly support the national armed resistance of the Palestinian people and all revolutionary struggles oppressed by imperialism.
Let us unite against repression, fascism, and imperialism

Meta Suspends the PMLI’s National Facebook Page for Posting About October 7 and in Support of Hamas
We had already seen and experienced at the end of 2025 that Meta, the American tech giant that controls, among other platforms, Facebook, did not take kindly to the PMLI’s support for the Palestinian Resistance, when posts and posters expressing solidarity with the heroic Palestinian struggle against the Nazi-Zionist aggressor Israel were “democratically” deleted from our national page. Now, after having deleted posts about October 7 and in support of Hamas in the preceding days and imposed restrictions on our national Facebook page, they have gone so far as to suspend it indefinitely today, accusing us of “glorifying terrorist acts,” “supporting violence against a specific group of people,” and “supporting dangerous individuals and organizations.”
An anti-democratic act that violates the most basic rights of free speech, which are guaranteed even by the Italian Constitution.
We call on media outlets not subservient to Zionism and the neo-fascist Meloni government, Mussolini in a skirt, to report on this fascist and pro-Zionist act against the PMLI, and we appeal to all anti-imperialist, anti-Zionist, and anti-fascist forces to openly and publicly express their solidarity.
As has been the case for nearly 50 years now, they will not succeed in silencing us. In this case, the “terrorists” are not us, nor the hundreds of thousands of people who took to the streets on October 10 throughout Italy and around the world in support of “a free Palestine from the river to the sea”, but rather the Nazi-Zionist and genocidal Israeli regime, supported by the Italian government and American imperialism, for which Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta serves as a multimedia megaphone.
