Facing the ever increasing threats and intimidation, as well as the long standing criminal blockade by Yankee imperialism, the Cuban State has for two days conducted a strategic exercise under the name of “Moncada 2026” on November 4 and 5. It was followed by celebrations and events on November 6 as the National Day of Defense.

During the two days, military exercises and instructions were issued all throughout the country. They highlighted and expressed the need for preparation for national defense, as well as the importance of uniting against an eventual attack. On November 6 this was redoubled, reaching also many civilians with expositions and explanations as well as activities.

This exercise comes at a time of redoubled Yankee aggression in Latin America, having proclaimed Cuba to be a specific target. An example of the threats was shown by the docking of the USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul, a US Navy littoral combat ship, at Guantánamo on November 4.
