
India: one Paramilitary Eliminated in Jharkhand

Indian media outlets report on a new encounter on Wednesday, July 15, which has caused the elimination of a paramilitary member in Bokaro Forest, Jharkhand. The paramilitary was part of the elite force Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Cobra, specially dedicated to repress the Maoist guerrillas.
This action comes shortly after another action which has left two paramilitaries injured in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, as we reported:
The action occurred when the Indian repressive forces started an operation in the forests following a tip-off about the movement of guerrilla Maoists.
Since the reports of this operation, that it was still ongoing, but there are no more reports of casualties. The Maoist presence in Jharkhand, far of being eliminated, remains and there are reports of repeated clashes and activity.
