The recently founded international Anti-Imperialist League – Section Finland has taken part in the solidarity campaign for the student rebellion in France.
In Helsinki a demonstration was carried at the French embassy. Police tried to intervene but the demonstration was still carried out. The banderole reads: It is right to rebel! Leaflets were also distributed
In Tampere leaflets were distributed in student-areas.
In Turku leaflets were distributed in student-areas and students were interviewed about their demands. Many students were worried about unemployment.
In addition, we hereby share unofficial translations of three statements published on their Instagram on October 29 regarding the founding of the Section Finland, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and call to action at the presidential palace on December 6.
Anti-imperialists of the world, unite!
AIL – Section Finland has been founded!
We, anti-imperialists working in various locations in Finland, gathered on Saturday, September 19, in Tampere to establish a national coordination committee to control the work of the International Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) in our country.
We will coordinate the work of our international organization AIL in Finland, participating in joint international campaigns and actions, to build an international anti-imperialist front and its front block here. The common will of the AIL – Section Finland is to make it a priority to give support for the heroic anti-imperialist struggles around the world, and to raise the broadest solidarity for them in Finland as well. As the most advanced anti-imperialist struggles, we emphasize the People’s Wars, those magnificent revolutionary struggles led by the proletariat, which have been and are being fought in third world countries, such as Peru, Turkey, India and the Philippines, and which are emerging in new countries, including those where reaction seems overwhelming today. Furthermore, we show unwavering support for the struggles of the international proletariat and support for all just national liberation struggles, such as in Palestine, and to the resistance struggles of all peoples against imperialist aggression, to all struggles for people’s rights against imperialism and reaction.
As a section of our fighting international organization in Finland, we have, in addition to our primary task, the duty to expose Finnish imperialism and its role in the imperialist world system. In opposing the false alternatives of all the imperialist powers that are fighting and conspiring with each other, we especially oppose the poison of Finnish imperialism’s “national defense” and the militarization that extends to the entire society under its guise. We oppose armament and the trampling of people’s rights, we support the unity of the workers and peasants of the world and friendship among the peoples.
Long live the International Anti-Imperialist League!
Death to imperialism!
Unite anti-imperialists in Finland as part of the international anti-imperialist front!
The peoples of the world will defeat imperialism!

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
Wednesday (November 25) marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The day began in Latin America, when three sisters who opposed the Trujillo dictatorship were murdered by the State in the Dominican Republic. The day is already a big day of struggle in many countries, especially in Latin America, but it has also been celebrated in Finland for a few years now. The International Anti-Imperialist League – Section Finland wants to pay attention to this day this year as well.
Violence against women is not just a problem somewhere far away, but we remind you that violence against women is a common problem in Finland as well. This year alone, 17 women have been killed by men in our country. This proves that violence against women is not just a relic of the past, but is part of the foundation of imperialist society, which remains and will be reproduced as long as imperialism persists. We want to unleash women’s revolutionary rage, and organize it into a fight against patriarchy and imperialism.
Therefore, the founding meeting of the Finnish Anti-Imperialist League convenes a women’s commission to prepare activities for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. We hope that all anti-imperialists, revolutionaries, and those who have the struggle to crush patriarchy and imperialism close to their hearts will participate in the activities of that day.
Down with patriarchy and imperialism!
Long live the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women!

Anti-imperialists of the world, unite!
Everyone to the palace on December 6th!
December 6 is traditionally the day when the rulers of Finnish imperialism gather at the presidential palace to celebrate. The whole day is a grotesque event aimed to create false national unity, at the same time when the people’s conditions only get worse. How do those pigs celebrating at the palace represent the masses in any way? The splendor of the presidential celebrations stands as a stark contrast to the reality of life of the masses, as in many households, everyday life is currently a struggle for survival.
It is a fact that Finnish imperialists are also rioting abroad, participating in the exploitation of oppressed nations. Just look at how easily Finland handles the arms trade with the Zionist occupier State. Nor is it any secret that all the big names of Finnish imperialism have ambiguous dealings in Asia, Africa, Latin America and also Eastern Europe. In those countries, everything is being torn out of the local population, and because of this, the people’s struggles are intensifying. For example, in Uruguay, the pulp company UPM is repeatedly the target of local protests. As this “crown jewel” of Finnish imperialism is spoiling the local groundwater with its poisons. We must show our solidarity with those super-exploited nations, and that is why we raise the slogan: “Anti-imperialists of the world, unite!”
To top it all off, the imperialist bourgeoisie, suffocating in abundance, makes the young workers swear to defend the continuation of this with arms in hand. What characterizes our time is that
At the same time as scarcity is being distributed to the people, the armament of Finnish imperialism knows no debt ceiling. We will not accept this.
Impoverishment and militarization are caused by imperialism, the last stage of capitalism, whose ever-deepening crisis is being unleashed on the masses of the people. The masses of the people are becoming the paymasters for the deepening crisis of imperialism. The working class, that is, the class that has nothing but its working hands, and that has created all those enormous riches for the imperialists through its work, can lead humanity to a new society in which there is no exploitation or oppression. However, this requires power, but does the working class have power in Finland? No… the imperialist bourgeoisie has the power.
Against all this, we will protest at the presidential palace, raise demands against militarization, for the people’s living conditions, for the overthrowing of imperialism, and for a better tomorrow!
Down with imperialism and militarization!
Everyone to the palace on December 6!
