Sol Rojo Mexico reports that in at least four states have been carried out actions by different revolutionary organizations, following the call published by this website, on occasion of the Week of the Indian Revolution Martyrs. The media reports that each action “also serves to continue paving the way for the construction of the Mexico chapter of the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) as an international organization of the peoples, which serves as an instrument of struggle against imperialism, fascism, and reactionary wars, supporting the just struggles of workers, as well as ongoing national liberation wars and People’s Wars.

Anti-imperialist activists in Mexico have put up posters, distributed leaflets, hung up banners, and made graffiti in Tamaulipas, Hidalgo, Mexico City, and Oaxaca.

Mexican comrades report of several cases of repression by the Mexican State. In Tamaulipas, Sol Rojo reports that “comrades from the Communist Reconstitution Committee-Tamaulipas reported that they were subjected to aggression by the illegal state apparatus at the facilities of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas.” As a result, various Mexican organizations have issued a statement condemning the repression face:

Sol Rojo also mentions that Tamaulipas is one of the most dangerous areas in the country due to the control executed by criminal groups linked to various State structures. There was also a repression attempt in Hidalgo, where municipal and state police tried to detain activists. Sol Rojo reports that the activists “gave an exemplary response that thwarted the plans of the reaction. There were no arrests.

In Oaxaca, numerous actions were carried out, including a gathering and a discussion attended by members from organizations such as Current of the People Red Sun, People’s Youth Brigades (BJP), People’s Student Movement (MEP), Peoples Women’s Movement (MFP), Mural Newspaper (PM), the Cooperative Alliance of Oaxacan Women in Movement, and the Defense Committees of the Rights of the Peoples of Oaxaca (CODEPO).
