Partizan Europe: We Commemorate Party and Revolution Martyrs!
We hereby share an unofficial translation of the article found in Avrupa Haber.
Partizan Europe calls upon all our friends and comrades to participate in events that will be held in Germany/Berlin, Austria/Linz, Wörgl, and Switzerland/Zürich under the announcement titled “We Commemorate Party and Revolution Martyrs.”
Full Statement:
“Martyrs of the Party and Revolution Illuminate Our Path!
Reactionary forces have surrounded the world; they impose scarcity, poverty, and war on the working class, peoples, oppressed nations, women, and youth. As the economic crisis deepens, competition among imperialists is escalating, and the drums of war are sounding louder. Today, only power matters. While the powerful have the ‘freedom’ to do anything, the weak are forced to submit. U.S. imperialism is making lawlessness a norm and is recklessly attacking the world’s peoples. It tells us that a people without a vanguard or army of imperialism and reaction has no rights.
In such a period, organized struggle is of vital importance. Our martyrs are the most concrete expression of this consciousness, this determination, and this revolutionary spirit. They are our guides who shatter despair and demonstrate that the strong can be defeated.
Our fallen comrades have left us the legacy of resisting, fighting, and focusing on victory. They entrusted us with the legacy of self-sacrifice when necessary and raising the red flag of revolution against capitualtionism and opportunism. Our revolutionary struggle was written with the blood of our martyrs, and this struggle continues. They are beacons and monuments of honor in our communist cause.
In the 54-year history of the Proletariat Party, we have bid farewell to hundreds of our comrades in the front lines of the struggle. From Lenin to Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg, from Mustafa Suphi to Ali Haydar Yıldız, Meral Yakar, and Atilla Özkan, this chain of struggle calls us once again to fight this January. The TKP/ML has declared the last week of January as “Martyrs’ Commemoration Week.”
Let us remember our martyrs by embodying their faith, determination, militancy, and love for the people. We invite all our friends and comrades to join our events commemorating those who became immortal in the struggle for the Democratic People’s Revolution, socialism, and communism!”
