Norway: Another Victory! The Tree Palestine Activists Are Acquitted!
We hereby share an unofficial translation of a note from Tjen Folket Media on the recent acquittal of the three Palestine activists from Norway.
The three Palestine activists who shouted slogans against FrP leader Sylvi Listhaug have been acquitted in the appeal case in the Court of Appeal, NRK [State TV channel] reports.
Listhaug tells NRK that she takes note of the verdict and that “It will have consequences for how politicians must think about security in the future.”
Defense attorney John Christian Elden, for his part, states that: “The Court of Appeal is – like the District Court – aware that this is not an attack on democracy, and has acquitted our clients and protected their freedom of expression.”
