More actions for February 3: International Day of Action to Reject Yankee Imperialist Aggression in Venezuela
Hereby we share actions carried out on February 3, International Day of Action Against the Yankee Imperialist Aggression in Venezuela, following the call made by the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL).
A major campaign has been launched in Brazil, where actions have been carried out throughout the country.
In Recife, people have mobilized not only for Venezuela, but also for the freedom of student Mateus Galdino, an anti-imperialist political prisoner. At the previous demonstration on January 28, a journalist from A Nova Democracia was shot by the police, who later prevented him from receiving medical attention at the hospital. He still has the bullet lodged in his leg.


Rallies have been held in Sao Paulo, Maringá, and Belo Horizonte, attracting the attention of passersby. In the Federal District, an anti-imperialist debate has been held on international law and the sovereignty of peoples. A similar event has been held in Dourados, organized by Guaraní-Kaiowá students, and in Goiana, a debate and exhibition has been held at the Federal Institute.





In Fortaleza, Manaus, and Florianópolis, leaflets denouncing the attack have been distributed, along with copies of the newspaper A Nova Democracia.



In Oaxaca, Current of the People Red Sun and the Promoting Committee of the AIL in Mexico organized a protest with more than 400 people. During the march, posters and dazibaos were put up and graffiti were painted.



In Chile, the Anti-Imperialist Front has carried out several actions calling for participation in the February 3 rally. Among these actions, graffiti has been painted and posters have been put up, and the Front has participated in the seminar “Classes and Class Struggles in Chile Today” organized by Newspaper El Pueblo.




On February 3rd itself, there was a rally in front of the US embassy in Santiago, Chile.
In Medellín, Colombia, the Coordinadora de Luchas Populares (Coordinator of Popular Struggles) held a demonstration. Flyers were also distributed for the National Meeting Against Yankee Aggression in Latin America.


In Finland, the Anti-Imperialist Collective held a rally where a speech was read, slogans were shouted, and leaflets were distributed.

Several organizations, including Kampkomiteen, gathered in Bergen for a rally where slogans were chanted. After the rally, an open assembly was held.


In the Netherlands, the Anti-Imperialist Front, the Communist Committee of the Netherlands, and the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) participated in a demonstration.
