International Day of Action Against Operation Kagaar on March 28, 2026: Actions in Germany

We hereby share a report published on Dem Volke Dienen.

To mark the International Day of Action against Operation Kagaar, a variety of actions were carried out in different cities across Germany.

In Bremen, flyers were distributed in front of the steel mills owned by ArcelorMittal. The flyers denounced the role of corporations like ArcelorMittal—which stop at nothing in their pursuit of cheap raw materials—in relation to Operation Kagaar and called on workers to show solidarity with the struggling Indian people.

In Düsseldorf, banners were hung in the Friedrichsstadt neighborhood.

In Essen, dazibaos were posted in the Altendorf neighborhood at popular locations such as Ehrenzellerplatz and Jahnplatz, where the weekly market takes place.

In Freiburg, an information table was set up in front of the university library and flyers were distributed.

In Hamburg, activists created a large mural.

In Cologne, flyers were distributed in the city center and many fruitful conversations took place.

In the Ruhr region, activists from the Red Women’s Movement are sending a message of solidarity.

The revolutionary monthly newspaper Rote Post dedicated its entire March issue to the struggle of our comrades in India; several hundred copies were sold.
