Yankee imperialism deployed aircraft and also high rank officers in the city of Caracas, in yet another demonstration of the military intervention in Latin America by the sole hegemonic superpower. The military drill was coordinated and supervised by the Chief in Command of the Southern Command of the US, general Francis L. Donovan, and was authorized by the interim Venezuelan President, Delcy Rodriguez. It is worthy to remember that not even four months ago Yankee imperialism carried out a criminal aggression on Caracas and kidnapped the president Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

The military drill simulated an evacuation of the US embassy and included the participation of two MV-22B Osprey aircraft and ships that entered in Venezuelan maritime space in the Caribbean. There has been Yankee military presence in land, sea and air, violating the Venezuelan sovereignty. The general Donovan met with high rank officials and representatives of the interim Venezuelan government.

The Southern Command stated that “United States is committed to a free, safe and prosperous Venezuela for the Venezuelan people, for the United States and for the Western Hemisphere”.

Protest mobilizations against the Yankee military deployment took place in Caracas, where demonstrators burnt Yankee flags.
