Last Wednesday, a trial began in Oslo against a Palestinian activist. The activist is one of 22 who were arrested during demonstrations against the Norway-Israel international match on October 11, 2025. The case concerns this demonstration and two other cases related to activism. This will be the first of the trials against the 22 Palestinian activists arrested.
Tjen Folket Media has been present at Oslo District Court to document the trial and demonstrations for the 22 arrested. Also Kampkomiteen activists participated in a rally to show support for the 22 Palestinian activists who were arrested during the demonstrations on October 11.
The activist is accused of failing to comply with police orders at the demonstration on October 11, at a demonstration against Norges Bank on August 22, 2025, and outside the polling booths at Spikersuppa near Karl Johan. The Norwegian Television channels are collaborating with the police and the public prosecutors to criminalize the pro-Palestine activists. Despite this campaign, the prosecutor had to admit that they had no evidence that the defendant had torn down barriers, built barricades, dragged anything into the roadway, or thrown anything at the police.
The trial has been going on for four days. Originally it was supposed to last from Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th June, but was extended beyond Monday 8th of June.
