This past Tuesday, November 3, the Midterm Elections were held in the United States. As the results are now clear, with only Alaska and Missouri remaining in the vote-count, the Republicans have suffered a significant electoral defeat, losing both the House and the Senate majority to the Democrats.

The current projection puts the Democrats at a 259 seat majority in the House – flipping 43 seats – which is the highest since 2009-2011, during the first two years of the Obama regime, with the Republicans per now having 157 seats. In the Senate, current projections put the Democrats at 54 seats, 10 more than the Republicans, with 44.

Despite an intense campaign by the Democrats in this Midterm election, the voter turnout has dropped from 69% in the 2022 Midterm election to 63% this year, marking an increased disillusionment with the elections from the people.

This comes after the Donald Trump regime have hit record low levels of approval, recently polling at 31%, compounded by the historically unpopular and failing war of aggression on Iran, along with consecutive political crises, like the continuous murders of ICE, the many cases of fraud, embezzlement, market manipulation and lechery as well as the continuously rising cost of living.

While this electoral victory for the Democrats will mean practically nothing for the people on their day to day level, it is a clear indication of the people’s disdain and rejection of the current regime, and their desire for change.
