The Palestinian people continues to struggle against its enemies, foreign and at home. The first annihilation of an Israeli intelligence collaborator in the West Bank in nearly two decades took place on May 8, in the city of Nablus. The confessed traitor Zuhair al-Ghaleeth was shot dead by six armed men on Monday. A group known as the “Lions’ Den” seems to be responsible, according to media. Even his family refused to mourn his death due to the shame and his corpse was buried in a field cluttered with discarded animal bones and soda cans, reports said. After the spy was executed people gathered, denounced him and formed a march protesting against the ‘Palestinian Authority’ and their collaboration with Israel. The next day the masses burned down the construction site of a house al-Ghaleeth was going to build.

Israel launched pre-dawn air strikes on Tuesday against the Palestinian people in Gaza, killing at least 13, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported. The IDF claimed to have killed three alleged Islamic Jihad commanders, announcing a campaign called “Shield and Arrow” against the Palestinian resistance group. Islamic Jihad confirmed three senior officials were killed, naming them as Jihad Ghannam, secretary of the Al-Quds Brigades military council, Khalil al-Bahtini, also of the council and commander of the military wing in northern Gaza and Tareq Ezzedine, one of the heads of military action in the occupied West Bank. Palestinian sources said Israel killed mostly civilians, among them Dr. Jamal Khaswan, his wife and eldest son and also published pictures of a slaughtered girl.

On Wednesday Israel continued its bombings, killing at least 20. The latest casualties brings the number of Palestinians killed to a minimum of 130 so far this year.

Palestinian resistance forces replied with a series of rocket launches. Reports count the amount of 350 rockets. The strikes effected southern Israel, but also the Tel Aviv area and the Mediterranean coast. The “Iron Dome” was said to work but somehow 1/3rd of the rockets were not intercepted.

In Qabatiya, West Bank, one of the almost daily raids of the IDF faced fierce resistance on Wednesday. The exchange of fire left two Palestinians, Ahmed Jamal Tawfiq Assaf, 19, and Rani Walid Ahmed Qatanat, 24, dead.

The ongoing genocidal politics conducted by the State of Israel “encourages” also its civilians to brutalize Arabs. Lately there were reports on a young man beaten up by a mob because of speaking Arab, as well as of a Palestinian security guard from Bir Al-Maksour in Safad. Most public became the case of 20-years old Diar Omari, a Palestinian from the village of Sandala, who was shot and killed by an Israeli settler from nearby Gan Ner.

Israeli troops killed two Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, 6 May, – Hamza Khrewish and Samer al-Shafei, both 22 – and wounded at least one. The Tulkarm Brigade claimed the two men as members. The Israeli soldiers also abducted two Palestinians, Ibrahim Shallash, 20, and Mohammad Baleedy, 23, before withdrawing from the Tulkarem refugee camp. Hundreds of mourners later gathered for the funerals of the two men, whose bodies were carried through the streets of Tulkarm, shrouded in the Palestinian flag.

On Thursday, 4 May, Israeli forces shot dead three Palestinians. Hamas said all three men killed – Moath Masri, 35, Hasan Qatanani, 35, and Ibrahim Jabr, 45 – were from its ranks. In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the remains of two of the slain Palestinians were severely mutilated.
