The genocide carried out by the Israeli butchers, headed by its mainly Yankee-imperialist masters, continues against the people of Palestine and the war escalates even more in the Middle East.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health statement on Monday, 38,893 Palestinians have been killed, and 89,727 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7. There were several attacks carried out by the Israeli Armed Forces against the Gaza Strip during the weekend:
At least 32 Palestinians were killed as a result of the continued Israeli bombardment of various areas of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
At least 11 Palestinians were killed and others were injured as a result of Israel bombing two houses in the Al-Bureij and Al-Nuseirat camps in the central Gaza Strip.
Several Palestinians were killed and wounded as a result of Israeli shelling of the Miraj area north of Rafah city. Three Palestinians, including two children, were killed as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a house in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Yunis. 3 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombardment that targeted Al-Shaboura camp in the center of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades (Hmas), issued a statement on Sunday regarding the current situation in Gaza:
Stating that the Al-Aqsa flood was not the beginning of the resistance work but a response to the enemy’s crimes, on the marking of nine months since the start of this war. Abu Obeida continued, noting the engagement of all 24 battalions from Beit Hanoun to Rafah with improved performance in each confrontation. He criticized international organizations for failing to address the enemy’s crimes in Gaza. Despite sacrifices of martyrs, soldiers, and leaders, Abu Obeida affirmed the steadfastness of the Al-Qassam Brigades. He underscored the ongoing battles in Rafah, operations in Shuja’iya, and northern Gaza as testament to the strength of their resistance and the failure of the enemy: “… our capabilities remain robust, and we have recruited thousands of new fighters.”
Meanwhile the accumulation of solid waste in Gaza poses not only “deadly consequences” for its population but could also render the besieged enclave “wholly uninhabitable,” an investigation by the Dutch activist organization PAX has found: “In unmonitored, make-shift landfills, leaking substances, called leachate, slowly seep into the soil,” the report said. “This chemical soup, consisting of soluble organic matter, inorganic components, heavy metals, and xenobiotic organic compounds, contaminates agricultural lands and the aquifer, while eventually toxic substances penetrate the food chain and find their way back to humans.”
The United Nations’ highest court said that Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territories are illegal in an advisory opinion issued on Friday. The findings by judges at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) are not binding but carry weight: “Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the regime associated with them, have been established and are being maintained in violation of international law.”
As well the aggression against Lebanon continues:
Israeli drone strikes targeted cities in southern Lebanon. An Israeli Merkava tank targeted a Lebanese army position on the outskirts of Alma Al-Shaab. Israeli artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the town of Kounine in southern Lebanon.
There was a fierce blow against Israel on Friday from Yemen and massive and brutal retailliation airstrikes from Israel, the USA and Britain:
A drone explosion rocked the Israeli city of Tel Aviv at dawn, killing at least one person and wounding others. The Yemeni Ansarallah group claimed responsibility for the attack. The Israeli army said in a statement that the drone was believed to have been launched from Yemen.
The incident occurred on Ben Yehuda Street in central Tel Aviv, where a massive explosion was reported by Israeli media. No air infiltration was detected by the defense systems, which caused the absence of sirens.
Ansarallah military spokesman, Yahya Saree, announced in a televised speech that the Yemeni air force had carried out the drone attack on Tel Aviv using a new ‘Jaffa’ drone, capable of evading radar detection. This marks the first acknowledged Ansarallah airstrike on Tel Aviv since their operations began.
On Saturday an Israeli airstrike was carried out against civilian infrastructure of the costal city of Hodeidah, targeting fuel tanks and a power station, resulting in six deaths, three missing and 83 injured, according to the Yemeni Ministry of Health.
Ansarallah-affiliated media outlets reported as well that an USA-British aggression targeted the Ras Issa area in the Al Salif district with four raids. Two additional raids on the Buhais area in the Midi district of Hajjah governorate, northwest Yemen, near the Saudi border were reported, too.
Yahya Saree, the military spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces said that there will be retaliation for the blantant aggression on Hodeidah:
„We confirm that we will respond to the blatant Israeli aggression on Hodeidah. We affirm our full right to defend Yemen against the American, British and Israeli aggression. The response to the Israeli aggression on our country is inevitable, and it will be great and massive. We carried out a qualitative military operation targeting a vital area in Umm al-Rashrash. We targeted an American ship in the Red Sea and hit it directly.“
The head of Ansarallah, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, said on Sunday that they are happy that the battle has become direct with the enemy.
On Saturday night the people of Yemen’s capital Sana’a came to the streets and chanted slogans condemning the Israeli airstrike on Hodeidah. The participants emphasized their standing with the people of Palestine.
