Palestine: Continuous massacres, crimes, genocide

On Saturday August 10, the State of Israel bombed the Tabaeen school in Gaza City. In this attack three missiles were used and each of them carried approximately 1 ton of explosives. A building which served as a shelter for 2,000 displaced people from several parts of Palestine was attacked. Moreover it was attacked when more damage could be caused: at the praying moment. Al-Jazeera has probed that this attack was intentional by the State of Israel. On the past few weeks numerous attacks against schools which served as shelters have been carried out, and this caused one massacre after another.

This has been one of the biggest massacres in the last weeks. This joins many other deadly crimes by the State of Israel and Yankee imperialism, which brings the death-toll up to at least 40,074 murdered (while several thousands are missing under the rubble of Gaza) people in the Gaza Strip and 92,537 wounded people. Yankee imperialism showed, as usual, its hypocrisy by saying that it was ‘deeply concerned’ because of this massacre at the Tabaeen school. On the same day the State Department from US approved to sell a new package of weapons to Israel, worth 20 billion dollars.

During this last week also the West Bank has faced several attacks from Israel. On Wednesday 14th five Palestinians were killed in two neighboring towns: one was murdered in Tubas in a ground assault and other four were murdered in a drone attack in Tammun. Additionally, on Thursday more than 100 illegal Israeli settlers attacked the village of Jit, east of Qalqiliya, murdering one Palestinian and seriously injuring another one. They attacked with guns and torched several vehicles. They also set fire to a vast agrarian area. Everything occurred under the eyes of Israeli troops.

The State of Israel attempts to silence the pro-Palestinian voices and has banned in the occupied territory the channel Al-Mayadeen. This action joins many other criminal actions by the Israelis and their imperialist masters, such as numerous murders of journalist. Recently they killed an Al-Jazeera journalist, Ismail al-Ghoul, and his camera, Rami al-Rifi.

Yankee imperialism still attempts to divide the Palestinian resistance and wash its image before the peoples of the world, and now it pretends to be a mediator (along with lackeys such as Qatar and Egypt) in order to reach a ceasefire between the National Resistance Front of Palestine and the State of Israel. This effort joins the murder of Haniyeh as the maneuvers of imperialism to attempt to weaker and reduce the Palestinian resistance. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has rejected the proposal by Yankee imperialism stating that it is a farce and that they “(…) will not put the necks of our people at the mercy of maneuvers and charades played by Benjamin Netanyahu and his government with American and international cover.”

Several military Yankee bases have been attacked during the last weeks: on August 5, the airbase of Al Asad in Iraq was attacked, causing five soldiers and two mercenaries of Yankee imperialism injured.

In Syria on Friday August 9 a Yankee military base at the north-east of the country was attacked with a drone resulting eight Yankee soldiers injured.

Hezbollah has attacked several Israeli targets from Lebanon. Today it has launched at least 50 rockets against Israeli targets. One of them was a military base almost 20 kilometers deep into occupied territory by Israel, causing casualties among the Israeli troops. Also it has targeted for the first time the illegal Israeli settlement of Shamir, attacked with Katyusha rockets this Thursday.

Ansarallah (known as the ‘Houthies’) has launched three attacks this week. There are more than 70 ships targeted by Ansar Alllah since the beginning of the new genocidal Israeli campaign against the Gaza Strip. Yankee and British imperialists have attacked Yemen on Thursday.

Besides these actions, in Sana there have been huge mobilizations gathering millions of people who showed solidarity with Palestine:

There have been many other mobilizations in solidarity with Palestine in Middle East and Northern Africa:

In Germany a court condemned a demonstrator who shouted “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” in a rally held in Berlin in October. The demonstrator has received a fine of 600 Euros. This is the first time when such a rule is applied and it is a further attack on democratic liberties such as freedom of expression, as well an attack against the solidarity movement with Palestine.

The conviction was protested internationally; Source: ProletConnect

Additionally there has been also an attack against a pro-Palestinian encampment close to the University of Munich, where a Palestinian flag was burned. Dem Volke Dienen points out that this is part of the reactionarization of the German bourgeois State.
