This August 30, take to the streets demanding truth and justice!
To the working class and the toilers
To the poor peasantry and the oppressed indigenous peoples
To women and popular youth
To sister organizations and search collectives
To searching mothers and families
We salute the firmness and dignity of the sister organizations; of search groups; of the searching mothers and families who, despite all the smear campaigns, despite the persecution and terror, despite the perks and crumbs with which the regime attempts to silence their worthy struggle, maintain high the demand for truth and justice without kneeling. The truth is always revolutionary!
It is important to say that August 30, the International Day of the Detained-Disappeared, is not just another date on the calendar, but an opportunity to shout with one voice, from different geographies, from diverse contexts and from the heterogeneity of our thoughts. They took them alive, we want them alive!
All this trap disguised by the National Registry of Missing People, which insists that there are less than 112,000 missing people, contrasts with the enormous trail of victims that State terrorism has left since the beginning of the dirty war – passing through the “war against drugs” – until the times of the self-proclaimed “fourth transformation”. All of this speaks of the reality of the same process: the war against the people, as a reactionary war that has left more than 116,000 thousand people missing in accordance with the Declaration of the 5th National Assembly for Water, Life and Territory . It was the State!
We maintain that neither the continuity of the political (actually economic) model of bureaucratic capitalism under the management of AMLO-Sheinbaum; nor the alleged judicial, electoral reforms, etc. of the State (which, because it is old, obsolete and irrational, has to be completely swept away); Not even the shameless militarization and balkanization of the country (ordered by Yankee imperialism) will be able to stop the people who have not given up in the defense of the land and the national liberation struggle. It is right to rebel!
In this context, our democratic organization calls on all anti-electoral, anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist organizations in our country to take to the streets this August 30, the International Day of the Detained-Disappeared, demanding alive presentation of the comrades of the democratic-revolutionary movement who have been disappeared by the regime throughout these almost six decades. The list is endless, but their names and faces have to be written and displayed on every wall, in every public building, in every search commission and in every office of injustice. Alive presentation and punishment of the guilty!
As an organization we raise high the red flag of comrade Dr. Ernesto Sernas García who has disappeared since May 10, 2018, in San Agustín de las Juntas, Oaxaca. Along with this, we will firmly resume the demand for freedom for comrade Arnulfo García Santos, political prisoner in the Miahuatlán prison, Oaxaca, who is part of the San Miguel Copala Triqui Displaced Committee. Combat and resist!
Finally, we thank our friends and comrades in other parts of the world for showing solidarity and proletarian internationalism that always accompany our struggle and the struggles of the peoples of Mexico. We know that, just as here, in those parts the face and name of Comrade Sernas García will also strike the tranquility of the masters of money and political power. Proletarians and oppressed peoples of the world, unite!
This August 30, flood the streets and squares with red flags!
