In the night between Sunday 9 and Monday 10, Syrian media reported that at least 25 were killed in “the most extensive since the Gaza war” attack. Attacks from Israel to Syria are not new and even more with the beginning of the new Israeli genocidal campaign against the people of Palestine. But this attack means an increase of the aggression committed because is the first in years wih such a quantity of dead people and injured are reported.
Four provinces were attacked: Damascus, Homs, Hama and Tartus. It has been reported that the target in Hama was the military research center in Masyaf, associated with Syria’s chemical and Ballistic missiles programme. It was an objective because it allegedly serves the interest of Iranian militias, what was “confirmed” by the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, but they also said that the research center is non-related to chemical weapons.

During the attacks at least 15 missiles were launched by Israel to Syrian territory. In addition to the 25 killed, there is at least 40 more people injured. After the attack against Masyaf, the Syrian army responded by aerial defense, intercepting some of the Israeli projectiles. The attack was
condemned by Syrian foreign ministry as a blatant act: “We strongly condemn this criminal attack by the Zionist regime on Syrian soil”. Minister of Electricity Mohammad al-Zamel said the strikes had also caused “truly significant” damage to water and electricity infrastructure.
The aggressions committed by the Israel State, at the service of the interests of their mainly Yankee imperialist masters, continue to increase, stifling the tensions in the whole region.
