Last night Israeli fascist hooligans came to a rude awakening in Amsterdam when they were confronted with the rage of the masses against their Zionist imperialist project. The football club Maccabi Tel Aviv was invited to Amsterdam to play a football match against Ajax, despite the ongoing genocide. And as always their hooligans came with them to spread mass terror and violence against Arabs and anyone opposing Israel. The hooligans of Maccabi are well known for their fascist ideology and provide actual logistical support to the genocidal efforts of the IOF, in addition to many supporters being IOF members themselves. The connection is also clear when several Mossad agents were along with the hooligans to protect them.
In the past week multiple people have been beat up by the hooligans, one person because they were just wearing a keffiyeh on the central station. Another because they are a Moroccan taxi driver. Many events had to be cancelled like regular Palestinian demonstrations, book clubs, and other educational events, because Maccabi supporters had announced they would come to “counter-protest”. They went through the streets in groups taking down Palestinian flags, and threatening everyone who looked like they supported Palestine, of course protected by police. Chants like “there are no schools in Gaza because there are no children left” and “finish the Arabs” were sung by the hooligans.
Because of a wider BDS campaign to stop the participation of Israel in the UEFA a demonstration was planned to be held near the stadium by BDS. But instead of facilitating the demonstration, the social democratic major, Halsema, decided to ban the demonstration instead moving it to a park far away. But the rage of the masses can’t be contained by the repression of the state, when you make effective protesting impossible, we will find our ways.
Throughout the night many angry protestors, especially from Arab backgrounds, followed the Israeli hooligans, and by acting quickly to evade police attacks, many fascists could get isolated and were beat up. Firework was thrown at the group of supporters and police, a Zionist was thrown into the canals and was only let out when they said free Palestine, while beating up the Zionists, several passports were confiscated of the hooligans proving they are IDF members. Israeli flags were confiscated and set on fire. In addition to this one hooligan was run over by a car. Sadly right now more than 50 people have been arrested and are facing police repression, and we call on everyone to show their support to those imprisoned right now.
In response to our mass rage for Palestine, the Zionists fled like cowards into their hotels. It seems like when they are not killing babies and innocent civilians from a distance they are not so tough. Yesterday it was proven again that imperialism, and its Zionist puppet in Palestine, are just paper tigers, and with the might of the people we will make them fall!
Free all of our comrades in prison right now!
