On Monday the Al-Qassam Brigades reported that “In a complex operation, our fighters raided a building fortified by an Israeli infantry force of 25 soldiers in the Al-Shaboura camp, central Rafah. Using various weapons, they successfully neutralized the entire force, killing and injuring all its members.”
The Palestinian resistance combatants also reported that they “detonated a minefield placed along two Israeli troop carriers, effectively targeting the reinforcements sent to rescue the trapped soldiers.” Therefore it is very likely that the casualties caused in this operation are bigger than those 25 trapped soldiers. The clashes continued after this successful operation.
Several sources have explained “that the Israeli army is facing a series of explosive ambushes set by the Al-Qassam Brigades and other factions, including homemade and recycled devices that have seriously damaged the Israeli military’s operations.”
According to the sources, “the Israeli military is struggling to deal with these ambushes, while the Resistance continues to exploit the terrain, setting traps and targeting Israeli soldiers with precision.”
According to the Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson, Abu Obeida, the Israeli troops have not acknowledged a big part of their casualties, so although the numbers of eliminated and injured Israeli soldiers are quickly growing, the real figures are even much bigger.
