Partizan: Martyrs of the Party and the Revolution will be commemorated – events in Europe

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a call published by Yeni Demokrasi (new website yenidemokrasi35.net) and a statement by Partizan:

Partizan will organize panels, documentary screenings and commemoration events in Switzerland, England and Germany as part of the Week of Remembrance for the Martyrs of the Party and the Revolution.

Partizan published a statement titled “The Martyrs of the Party and Revolution are the Guide of Our March and the Cement of Our Determination!” and called for participation in the events.

The full statement made by Partizan is as follows:

“Those who understand that revolution is a necessity where there is exploitation do not hesitate to venture their lives to make the revolution. Those who added unlimited dreams to their limited lives and who threw themselves into the cause of removing borders without hesitation, blended voluntariness with necessity and shed light on our path.

It has become our combat oath to commemorate the most valuable, the most talented, the most courageous, the ones who fought at the forefront of the communist struggle, our immortals, and to raise the communist flag that they shouted with their slogans and clenched fists even in their last breaths, on fortified positions.

In the 53 years of struggle practice of the Party of the Proletariat, we have added hundreds of our comrades, cadres, and combatants to the caravan of the immortals at the forefront of the struggle. While the great master of the International Proletariat, Lenin, the leaders of the German revolution Karl Liebnecht and Rosa Luxemburg, as well as Mustafa Suphi, Maria and 15 comrades, comrades Ali Haydar Yıldız, Meral Yakar and Atilla Özkan were martyred in January, the process leading to the murder of our Leader İbrahim Kaypakkaya began in this month.

A heavy revolutionary legacy that illuminates our path has been entrusted to us. This legacy has been continued with determination and perseverance, despite heavy prices being paid. This is a matter of claim. This is the passion to win the future. This is the will to shape oneself by looking far ahead while organizing the near. This is the consciousness of being relentless against what is right, what is unjust and wrong, in conditions where discouragement and hopelessness are rampant.

We respectfully commemorate our martyrs once again during the Commemoration Week for the Martyrs of the Party and the Revolution, and invite you, our valued friends and comrades, to the events where we will commemorate those who have been immortalized in our revolutionary march where freedom marches are sung, the Democratic People’s Revolution, socialism and the great cause of communism.”
