
Wave of Solidarity with ACTIT and Young Struggle

The fascist aggression against the Cultural Association of Turkish Immigrant Workers (ACTIT) and Young Struggle (YS) on February 16 has sparked a broad solidarity movement and many mobilizations and actions of several kinds have taken place during this past week. We already reported on the attack and on the solidarity expressed by some organizations as the Union of Migrant Workers in Europe (AGEB) and the Ligue de la Jeunesse Révolutionnaire (LJR), as well as on the great demonstration which took place in Paris on February 22.
We hereby share some of the mobilizations and actions carried out for the last seven days, which numbers are growing day by day:
The European Confederation of Oppressed Immigrants (AVEG-KON) has expressed its solidarity with the attacked activists and its rejection to the fascist and racist attack:
YS has issued a statement on the attack, in which they express that “We never bowed to such attacks and we will not bend! We will always continue to strengthen the antifascist struggle. We invite all young people to organize in the antifascist ranks, to organize in Young Struggle and to fight the fascists wherever they are!”.
The Federation of Migrant Workers in Germany (AGİF) has also expressed its solidarity and condemned the collaboration by the police as they state that “The French police, on the other hand, came together and did not intervene despite the news of the attack by several fascist groups. This approach of the police paves the way for fascist attacks.”
Other organizations such as the cultural association VEKSAV and the Federation Union of the Alevis in France (FUAF) have condemned the attack and expressed full solidarity with ACTIT and YS, as well as expressed their commitment for the struggle against fascism.
Many actions have been carried out across Europe and in Turkey:
The Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) and the Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) have expressed solidarity and have made graffiti and hanged up banners in Izmir, Turkey:
Also in Turkey the union DISK has expressed its solidarity:
In France many organizations have supported from the beginning YS and ACTIT. The Fédération Syndical Étudiante (FSE) has been present at the rallies and mobilizations to support YS:
They also made a speech carried out by the general secretary of the FSE to support the YS activists and to reaffirm the commitment of the struggle against the fascists:
Samidoun was also present at the first spontaneous demonstration carried out in Paris to support YS:
Anti-fascist and leftist activists from many cities have called to support and join the mobilizations:
Secours Rouge Toulouse has also condemned the attack on YS and expressed support to them:
In Germany several mobilizations and actions have been carried out to support the YS activists and ACTIT and to denounce the fascist aggression:
YS members in Berlin have organized a demonstration to support their comrades in Paris:

YS members in Dessau have carried out a supportive action to their comrades in Paris:
Several organizations held a demonstration in Hamburg against fascism and to support YS:


Many anti-fascists gathered in Cologne and expressed solidarity with YS. A speech made on behalf of Young Struggle Cologne was held and was emphasized that the attack strengthened the revolutionary will of the anti-fascists. Speeches were made also by Zora and AGİF.

In Stuttgart, YS along with other organizations protested the attack on ACTIT, and speeches by AVEG-KON and YS were read. Slogans in German, Turkish and Kurdish were heared.

Also a press release was organized in this city, attended by many organizations and with speeches being held.

In Ulm a mobilization was called for:

Kommunistischer Aufbau has organized also mobilizations to support YS:
They also made supportive graffiti and canceled some planned events in order to focus on the support to YS:
In Vienna, Austria, a mobilization under the slogan “Shoulder to shoulder against fascism” took place.

In Basel, Switzerland, a public press release, done by YS, AGEB, Zora, among others was read.

In London, England, the fascist attack was also protested in front of the French embassy. Many revolutionary and democratic organizations also participated in the action.

In Brussels, Belgium, a protest as carried out by AVEG-KON and called for strengthening solidarity against the fascist attack on ACTIT and YS members in the action in front of the French Consulate.
