Thousands have mobilized in France after the fascist attack carried out on Sunday 16th of February. The attack against the Cultural Association of Turkish Immigrant Workers (ACTIT) and Young Struggle (YS) activists left one CGT unionist seriously injured. The attack interrupted a film screening session carried out in the ACTIT local.
This brutal and criminal attack has not prevented YS to carry out again the film screening which will take place today at 19:00.
After these events, the current French Interior Minister, Bruno Retailleau, was questioned about those events. Although his answer was not surprising, it was heavily disgusting and insulting for the anti-fascist activists: he said that “If there is a combat that should bring us together, it is the combat against violence, fascism, Nazism, far right… as well as against ‘ultra-left’.” By saying so, the Minister blamed the anti-fascist activists for the incident and criminalized them.
The fascist attack and the attitude by the French State has not deterred the masses in France to take the streets and many mobilizations have been carried out since the very February 16 when a spontaneous mobilization took place the same night of the attack:

The French State has attacked the demonstration. French police officers attempted to detain some of the protesters but they resisted and prevented the police to do so. As a result the police charged and spread tear gas on the YS activists:
