There has been an increase of the Israeli crimes carried out in West Bank during this week. The State of Israel continues targeting the people of Palestine and its resistance. Meanwhile the so-called Palestinian Authority (PA) collaborates repressing the resistance and harassing the people.
At the beginning of the week four new murders by the Israeli forces, including an elderly woman, in Jenin were reported. At the same time the Israeli forces have conducted raids in Azzun, east of Qalqilya, northern West Bank. Around 200 people were held to be interrogated. Four Palestinian youths were injured in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem. Palestine Chronicle points out that “The Israeli army has been conducting an intensive military raid in the northern West Bank since January 21, killing at least 65 Palestinians and displacing tens of thousands.”
Israeli settlers have been attacking several towns and villages of West Bank. More recently settlers set fire to six homes and a vehicle, and attempted to kidnap children in Khirbet al-Marajim, a village near Nablus. The settlers had the protection of the Israeli forces who repressed the Palestinians when they confronted the aggression and tried to stop the fires caused by the settlers.
The Israeli forces have conducted raids on daily basis in many different towns of West Bank:
The PA’s troops murdered Abdul Rahman Abu Al-Muna, a resistance combatant in Jenin, on Monday evening during the ongoing Israeli aggression on the city. Palestine Chronicle reports that “the PA forces blocked the road to al-Muna at the Al-Naseem roundabout in Jenin, surrounded him, and shot him at close range.” The resistance combatant was one of the resistance leaders in the city. Organizations such as the Committee of Families of Political Detainees in the West Bank condemned this crime and pointed out that the PA’s forces are targeting those who resist the Israeli occupation.
This murder has been condemned by many organizations of the National Resistance Front of Palestine, such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine also published statements condemning the crime:
