US imperialism attacks Yemen

The Yankee imperialism has attacked Yemen during the nights of Saturday and Sunday, and attacks are also being reported today. Al Jazeera reports at least 53 killed in these attacks, with a similar number of injured. Among them, Ansar Allah (known as the “Houthis”) states that there are numerous children murdered and injured. These figures could continue to rise as the attacks and rescue operations for the injured continue. Seven provinces of the country have been hit, and among them, especially Ibb province has suffered greatly, as two residential buildings were struck where 15 people were murdered.

This attack once again shows the most criminal face of US imperialism, which has relentlessly punished the Yemeni people due to their steadfast solidarity with the Palestinians and their resistance against the State of Israel and its imperialist masters. These bombings occur shortly after Ansar Allah announced the resumption of its blockade of the Red Sea to strike the State of Israel, as a show of solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

These operations by the Houthis, “international experts” claim, have seriously affected international trade. The Red Sea accounts for 15 percent of global maritime trade, and the Houthi attacks have forced much of that trade to take longer routes, impacting logistics and insurance costs.

The Yemeni resistance announced today that they have launched up to 18 missiles and a drone in two attacks against the American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in less than 24 hours.
