
Turkey: Readers of Partizan have been released
Yeni Demokrasi has reported on the liberation of at least two readers of Partizan, Gökhan Keleş and Okay Koçak. In the following text we share an unofficial translation of the two published notes by the democratic Turkish newspaper. Liberation of 59 people
59 people that have been arrested by the police in Istanbul have been liberated.
The Court has issued an order of release for 59 people, including the reader of Partizan Gökhan Keleş, which got arrested due to “resistance to the Law 2911”. The decision emphasized that the detained where students, who had a permanent housing and assumed that they would not try to flee.
The reader of Partizan Okay Koçak has been liberated
On 28 of March 53 people including the reader of Partizan Okay Koçak got arrested. Koçaks lawyer opposed himself to warrant order. Okay Koçak, who has been imprisoned in the high security prison of Marmara in Silivri, got released yesterday night.
