On May 17, an International Commemoration for Kaypakkaya will be held in Cologne!

We hereby share an unofficial translation of an announcement published by Avrupa Haber.

GERMANY – Communist leader İbrahim Kaypakkaya will be commemorated in Cologne on the 52nd anniversary of his assassination!

On the 52nd anniversary of the murder of İbrahim Kaypakkaya, the founding leader of the TKP/ML, by the fascist Turkish State in the prisons of Diyarbakır, a political-cultural event will take place on Saturday, May 17, starting at 4:00 PM at Wienerplatz in Cologne-Mühlheim.

This year’s event in Germany is being organized jointly by Partizan and ROTER BUND (Read League) and has an international character.

Every year, comrades honor Kaypakkaya in various countries around the world, especially in Turkey and European countries. This year, it is of great importance to embrace his ideas more strongly and to convey them to the broad masses.

In today’s world, where the imperialist barbaric system continues its war and plunder regime, it is crucial to keep the memory of comrade İbrahim Kaypakkaya alive as a torch in the struggle against fascism in Turkey. In this process, where liquidationist, reformist, and conciliatory lines are prevalent, it is important to participate in the commemorative events with the responsibility and awareness of raising the struggle under the guidance of Kaypakkaya’s revolutionary ideas and theoretical line.

Partizan Germany and ROTER BUND invite class-conscious workers of all nationalities, working masses, and anti-imperialist, anti-fascist revolutionary organizations and individuals living in Germany to the event on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Cologne-Mühlheim!

Forward with the Kaypakkaya line under the guidance of MLM!

Long live Proletarian Internationalism!

Long live Revolutionary Solidarity!

– Additionally, events to commemorate comrade Kaypakkaya will also be organized on April 26 in Vienna and on April 27 in Basel.
