Presentation of the participants and the place of the political event“Not a step back: Stop the extinguishing in Gaza and the Zionist intervention in Brasil”
Hereby we publish an unofficial translation of an article about the political event we have already published about, that is being organized by Ibraspal and AND on the 27th of May in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Together with the newspaper A Nova Democracia (AND), the Brasil-Palestine Institute (Ibraspal) call out to participate on the 27th of May 2025 in Rio de Janeiro at a national political event, to condemn the genocide in Gaza and the political intervention and persecution of the Nazi-Zionism in Brazil.
The place where the political event will take place is the state university of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) – in the Auditory 111, and the participation of activists, journalists and representatives of the Palestinian community like Ahmed Shehada, president of Ibraspal; Victor Bellizia, director of the Newspaper AND; Thiago Ávila, Pro-Palestine activist and persecuted by Zionism in Brazil; Maira Pinheiro, People’s lawyer, internationalist and persecuted by Zionism in Brazil; Rawa Al Sagheer, coordinator of the Samidoun network of solidarity to the Palestinian prisoners in Brazil; Habib Omar, coordinator of Friends of Palestine – Brazil; the Workers’ Cause Party (PCO); and Nicolas Bezerra, graphical artist and persecuted by Zionism in Brazil, are also confirmed.
The Manifesto called “Not a step back: Stop the extinguishing in Gaza and the Zionist intervention in Brasil” already counts with 87 signatures of Palestinian-, peasants-, and youths- organizations, as well as of activists, unions, journalists, and students entities.
