Mexico: Weekly Newsletter
Hereby we share an unofficial translation of the last week’s part on Mexico of the weekly Newsletter article of the Sol Rojista Blog.
The last 10th of May, the Mother’s Day was commemorated, and in the framewor of this day in all of the country dozens of thousand women took to the streets under the slogan: “There is nothing to celebrate!” demanding the presentation with life of their sons, daughters, husbands, grandchildren and so on. In the main cities of Mexico, been demonstrations, especially in Cuernavaca, Culiacán, Puebla, Xapala and Tuxtla Gutiérrezamong others. Due to its meaning and content, the most important was the national march in Mexico City and the united march in City of Oaxaca, in both collectives, of mothers’ and searching families’ there have been mobilized in a unified manner with democratic organizations, what is pointing towards the unity process in perspective of the construction of the Unity Front that stops the war against the people. The disappearing of people in Mexico is a daily phenomenon that has become general in the context of this reactionary war, and until this moment has lead to the shocking number of 128.120 people disappeared by force, counting since 1965 (start of the dirty war) until now. In this demonstrations you could see clearly the face and name of the comrade Doctor Ernesto Sernas García, disappeared exactly on the 10th of May, but in 2018, what makes 7 years now since his disappearing by force. Therefore the Current of the People Red Sun realized on 12th of May in the city of Oaxaca a heavy mobilization of masses in demand of presentation of comrade Sernas García alive. Both activities in Oaxaca formed third part of our day of Struggle in Defense of Rights of the People, justice and liberty, and also it was supported by comrades in other parts of the country. We will inform about the various activities soon. Because they took them alive, we want them alive! Stop the war against the people, and the State terrorism!
