El Pueblo Newspaper in Chile has reported on a mobilization marking 7 months since the disappearance of Mapuche leader Julia Chuñil Catricura, which occurred amidst the ongoing struggle for the lands of the Mapuche community of Putreguel against the big landlord Juan Carlos Morstadt Anwandter. Several organizations gathered to criticize the State for its negligence.
Activists distributed leaflets to form an Anti-Imperialist Front in Chile that would express solidarity with the Mapuche people’s struggle for land and struggle against imperialism and latifundium.
