FDLP-Ecuador – COMRADE BASAVARAJ: YOUR NAME, AN OPEN CALL TO PEOPLE’S WAR!

https://fdlp-ec.blogspot.com/2025/08/camarada-basavaraj-tu-nombre-una.html

HONOR AND GLORY TO THE INDIAN REVOLUTION’S MARTYRS!

With a firm fist and a burning heart, from the depths of oppressed and rebellious Ecuador, we salute the heroic working people of India, the Communist Party of India (Maoist), the invincible People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army, and all the exploited and rebellious masses who, with rifle, sickle, and hammer, build day by day the path of liberation and the creation of New Power through People’s War.

We join with deep emotion, respect, and combative determination in the commemoration of the Revolutionary Martyrs’ campaign, knowing that the example of those who have given their lives for the strategic objectives of the class, the poor peasantry, and the people, does not belong only to India, but illuminates the horizon of all the peoples of the world who resist imperialism, capitalism in all its manifestations, and the reactionary regimes which hold us in conditions of semi-colonialism and semi-feudalism.

Today, from the depths and domains of the jaguar, we raise our voice to pay tribute to Comrade Basavaraj, a brave leader and revolutionary guide, who offered his life in combat on May 21, 2025, along with 27 fighters of the people. His blood, shed on red earth, is a seed of hope for millions of oppressed individuals whose struggle for New Power is unstoppable and invincible.

Words are not enough to encompass the political and moral stature of Comrade Basavaraj, General Secretary of the CPI (Maoist), whose life was a burning flame in the service of the proletariat and the poor peasantry. He did not die; he merged with the eternity of the peoples, becoming furrow and lightning, a traveler on the red path where those like Marx, Lenin, Chairman Mao, and Chairman Gonzalo shine, having ignited fire in history to make it explode.

The reactionary Indian State, a puppet of Yankee imperialism, has unleashed a criminal offensive known as Operation Kagaar, whose objective is to physically exterminate the revolutionary movement and pave the way for the plunderers of transnational corporations, the dispossession of indigenous communities, and the devastation of the country. This campaign is not just a war against the CPI (Maoist), but a war against an entire people who refuse to live under exploitation and oppression.

During this offensive, thousands of people have been killed, entire villages have been razed, and women and children executed without mercy. It is a policy of scorched earth, State terrorism, and armed counter-revolution. However, the enemy, by deploying its entire war machinery, only demonstrates its desperation and fear in the face of the growing strength of the conscious masses.

History does not record the martyrs as a defeat, but as a victory in the making. They are the conscious blood sacrifice that we are willing to give, knowing that the heavens are not merely tempted: they are stormed. Each fallen fighter is a spark that ignites the fire of the people, forges new generations, and pushes the struggle to greater heights. The experience of India demonstrates that, even in the face of the most ruthless repression, the People’s War does not retreat: it reorganizes, rises, and strikes back with greater force.

From the midst Ecuador, where indignation and resistance are also born, we have launched an active and internationalist campaign of solidarity with the Indian revolution.

We have launched a series of agitative actions with posters, murals, statements, and symbolic demonstrations to bring the example of Comrade Basavaraj to every wounded corner from the midst of our Ecuador. His name resonates among us as a living slogan, a call to elevate the level of consciousness, organization, and struggle.

Comrades of India: you are not alone. Your martyrs are our martyrs, your struggle vibrates in our veins, your horizon is also ours. We are sheltered by the same red sun: the ideology of international proletariat. And yes, we are destined to win, because we carry in our hearts the certainty that history belongs to those who struggle.

ETERNAL HONOR TO COMRADE BASAVARAJ AND THE 27 FALLEN COMBATANTS ON MAY 21!
LONG LIVE THE STRUGGLE OF THE ADIVASI PEOPLE AND THE PEOPLES OF INDIA!
LONG LIVE THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF INDIA (MAOIST)!
LONG LIVE THE PEOPLE’S LIBERATION GUERRILLA ARMY!
DOWN WITH THE MODI’S FASCIST REGIME AND ITS WAR CRIMES!
28 MARTYRS, 1 CAUSE, THOUSANDS OF REASONS TO CONTINUE THE PEOPLE’S WAR!
LONG LIVE THE PEOPLE’S WAR IN INDIA, THE PHILIPPINES, TURKEY, AND PERU!
ORGANIZE, COMBAT, AND RESIST!

A great event in defense of the New Democratic Revolution in India took place in Sorocaba on July 15th, at the APEOESP sub-office building in the city. The event, summoned by the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL), is part of the international campaign for the defense of ongoing revolutions and armed national liberation resistances around the world, as a struggle against imperialism. Highlighting, the example of Basava Raju, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), who was murdered by the old Indian State, and of the people’s fighters, as a call to recognize the struggle for democratic rights as an anti-imperialist struggle.

Dozens of activists attended the event, rejecting the various human rights violations against the Indian people, especially the Adivasi people, which have intensified since the launch of Operation Kagaar, led by the fascist Narendra Modi, the old Indian State’s current leader. The operation, which translates to “final operation” aims to annihilate the ongoing revolutionary movement in India, led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist).

The event featured a discussion panel composed of representatives from various people’s organizations, such as the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL), the Classist Movement of Workers in Education (MOCLATE), the Union Collective Class Issue, and a representative from the APEOESP coordination. The panel provided an historical overview of the Indian Revolution and defined parallels between the anti-imperialist struggle and the struggles for democratic rights in semi-colonial countries, such as those fought by the Brazilian people, both in the countryside and in the city.

After the panel, there were powerful interventions by independent activists and democratic organizations, such as the People’s Women’s Movement (MFP), People’s Dawn (AP), the Workers’ League, and the State Executive of Pedagogy Students of São Paulo, in support of the popular struggle in India. Additionally, tributes were paid to the heroic fighters of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), the CPI (Maoist), and the Brazilian people, who dedicated their lives to the anti-imperialist struggle and the fight for land, using banners and posters to decorate the venue.

Portugal: Event Gathers Students and Workers in Defense of the Indian Revolution

This Saturday, August 2, Portuguese activists held an event in Porto dedicated to promoting and supporting the People’s War in India. The event was organized by the magazine Nova Aurora, with the support of the Anti-Imperialist Action (AAI) of Portugal and the Trama Bookstore. The activity was part of the celebrations for Martyrs’ Week, an internationalist proletarian day honoring all the revolutionaries, democrats, and masses who fell in the long march for the liberation of India from the clutches of imperialism, semi-colonialism, and semi-feudalism.

During the meeting, representatives from the present organizations discussed the historical and social roots of the current situation in India. Starting from the legacy of exploitation and devastation left by British colonialism—which shaped a deeply unequal society marked by archaic structures of domination—the speakers outlined the panorama of the resistance and social transformation struggle undertaken by organized sectors of the Indian people over the past decades.

Topics addressed included the founding of the communist movement in the country, internal divisions and re-compositions, and especially the evolution of a mass struggle process with its own characteristics, which today mobilizes broad layers of the poor peasantry, proletarian sectors, and indigenous communities against the local dominant classes and imperialist interests. Participants highlighted the strategic and prolonged nature of this struggle, now led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist), which is building a New People’s Power amid harsh conditions of repression, influenced by revolutionary sectors.

It was also emphasized that the growing repression by the old Indian State, backed by imperialism, which reacts against the advance of the Party and the masses under its direction with killings, disappearances, forced displacements, and military sieges. Nevertheless, the revolution resists and advances, based on the trust of the masses, their own strength, and the construction of new forms of organization and social life.

The event was attended by students, workers, and young people interested in gaining a deeper understanding of what is happening in India, different from what the reactionary propaganda of imperialism says. Throughout the interventions, the importance of proletarian internationalism and the need to break the imperialist media blockade that silences the most significant struggles of our time were underscored. The activity concluded with a call to spread the truth about the struggle of the Indian people and to build bridges between all those who rise against oppression and exploitation in various parts of the world.
