Chile: 1st Anniversary of the Disappearance of Julia Chuñil

The Chilean democratic newspaper El Pueblo reported on the 1st anniversary of the disappearance of the Mapuche leader Julia Chuñil. They report that: “in Collipulli, La Araucanía region, a group of women hung a banner demanding Truth, Justice and Punishment, Freedom for the Mapuche political prisoners (PPM) and, for this, they were persecuted and their identity checked by paramilitaries, criminalizing the right to protest.”
