Finland – Video: Prime Minister Orpo Speech Drowned Out by Condemnation for Genocide

On the 8th of March in Finland this year, activists drowned out a speech from the Prime Minister Petteri Orpo with slogans, exposing him as a participant of the genocide in Palestine, Punalippu reports.
Petteri Orpo approved a 317 million EUR deal with Israel, buying the David’s Sling air defense system in November 2023, funding the Israeli genocide in Gaza. Likewise, the Finnish company Patria, owned by the State, founded the weapons manufacturing company NAMMO and has a 50% stake in the company together with the State of Norway.
NAMMO produces mainly ammunition and rocket engines, which in turn are sold to many countries throughout the world, one of the main buyers being the US. In turn, the US is the biggest supplier of military equipment to Israel. The NAMMO produced rocket launcher ‘M141’ have on several occasions been found in Gaza. This is one of the roundabout ways that the imperialist powers of Europe attempt to wash their hands of supplying the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
