Criminals of the G7 Summit: #1 The United States

Once again, imperialist forces will rear their ugly heads and gather at the yearly G7 summit that will be held in Évian-les-Bains, France. As they attempt to subject the peoples of the world to their domination, exploitation and murderous aggression, they are facing the growing resistance of the peoples of the world, and in response to this summit a mass demonstration has been called in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Group of Seven, or G7, gathers the sole hegemonic imperialist superpower and six of the richest imperialist powers operating within the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and consists of the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and Italy. Each year they gather to discuss and plan economic, political and military strategy, sharpening theirblades for yet another repartition of the world.

But who are the participants of this summit?

The United States

The arch criminal of the world, stranger to no one, as the death and misery they spread throughout the world is observable from every corner of the planet:

• We see it in Palestine with the genocide carried out together with its lackey, Israel, where the people continue to hold the torch of resistance high despite enormous efforts to break it.
• We see it in Iran, and by extension Lebanon, whose resistance has shown the world once again that Yankee imperialism is a paper tiger.
• We see it in their criminal aggression on Latin America, where they attacked Venezuela and kidnapped the president, in their military campaign under the guise of their so-called “war on drugs”.
• We see it in Africa, plunderingresources and contending with Chinese social-imperialism at the cost of the blood and hunger of the people.
• We saw it previously, with the wars in Vietnam or Afghanistan, showing clearly that it is not the weapons, but the people that are decisive.

The United States is a war machine, and necessarily so, their position of chief exploiter outright requires them to maintain the strongest army, to extend their grasp into as many far reaching corners as possible. But despite this, the United States are increasingly unable to achieve their goals in the wars they wage.

The United States can not step foot anywhere where the deep seated hatred of the people will not follow them, their crimes and the blood spilled by their hands will be forever remembered in the struggle of the people. As the G7 summit grows near, any democratic, progressive and anti-imperialist organization or individual will heed the call and take to the streets against the G7 summit.
