Peru: Anti-Imperialist May Day in Ayacucho

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a report from Ayacucho, Peru, regarding actions that, according to the comrades who carried them out, are part of independent, decentralized mass activism with no ties to any organization or media outlet.

In Ayacucho, Peru, on May Day, activists put up pamphlets and distributed leaflets as a way to celebrate and congratulate the success of the 1st World Anti-imperialist Congress, which took place in Colombia in early April.

The distribution took place at key public gathering points such as the University, the site where the rally for the May Day march was held, and the headquarters of the “Renovación Popular” party, as a condemnation of its expressed servility toward the genocidal Zionist entity of Israel.

The leaflets focused on defending the struggle of the peoples attacked by Yankee imperialism and denouncing the opportunistic subservience to Russian imperialism and Chinese social-imperialism. The distributed leaflets contained the Anti-Imperialist League’s May Day Declaration to publicize the holding of its World Congress.
