Ireland: Actions by Irish Socialist Republicans in May

Anti-imperialist Action Ireland (AIA) distributed leaflets among the attendees to a football match in Dundalk. The leaflet focused on issues including British and US imperialism in Ireland, condemning the occupation of the country, the use of Shannon Airport by US military, and the impact imperialism has on the working class through housing, low wages and rising costs. Solidarity with Palestine and opposition to racism and fascism were also highlighted.
Socialist Republicans organized a rally in Galway against NATO presence in the country.
The Revolutionary Housing League liberated a building in Pimlico (Dublin area), renamed it honoring the Irish Republican and freedom fighter Anne Devlin (known as Liberty Belle). The activists want to use the space for the local residents and organizations.
The activists already faced eviction attempts by the police, which have been resisted.
AIA activists distributed leaflets in Dublin on the rise of fuel and energy prices, condemning the role of the Free State and imperialism.
