On the 4th of July, many demonstrations were organized throughout Europe at the call from the Alliance Against NATO and Imperialist War (PAN-IW) against the 34th NATO Summit held in Ankara between the 6th and the 7th of July, Avrupa Haber reports.
In Paris, London, Vienna, Zurich, Athens, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Ulm, Cologne, Hamburg, Innsbruck, and Lyon, local and immigrant workers protested against NATO. Avrupa Haber reports that slogans such as “Dissolve NATO”, “Let’s step up the struggle against imperialist wars”, “No to NATO”, “Shoulder to shoulder against imperialism and fascism”, “Long live international solidarity” were chanted in various languages.
Special attention was dedicated to the exposure of the repression faced by revolutionary and democratic forces in Turkey ahead of the demonstrations against the summit, whilst the importance of international solidarity between local and migrant workers against NATO and imperialist wars was emphasized.

In Greece, several demonstrations mobilizing against the NATO summit have been called for by the KKE (m-l), including in Chania, Heraklion and Ianenna, Xanthi, Athens, and Thessaloniki.
