The Israeli military aggression against Lebanon continued this week, taking place as the US war of aggression against Iran reaches its 136th day.
According to an Al Mayadeen correspondent in the area, Israel has attacked the city of Beit al-Sayyad with shell artillery. Other explosions were reported in the city of Hadatha, where noise bombs were used against the population.
Also in Hadatha, Israeli troops have demolished homes and set them on fire. Explosives and machinery, such as bulldozers were used in the destruction of homes. Previously, similar actions were reported in the city of Bint Jbeil.
Additionally, on July 10th, an Israeli drone attack was reported. In this attack in the city of Kafr Rumman, one person was murdered according to the State news. In another attack in the same city, another man was seriously injured by another drone. Similar attacks have been taking place in different cities, such as Choukine, Kfar Dajjal or al-Fawqa.
Despite these attacks, which show Israel has no intention to withdraw from the Lebanese territory on July 31st like the ceasefire agreement states, Hezbollah’s leader, Sheikh Naim Qassem, reaffirms that the “Resistance will continue until liberation of Lebanese land”. In his statement on July 8th, Qassam states that “no political solution could succeed without a complete Israeli withdrawal”. He also renewed his rejection of the government signed ceasefire, stating that this agreement was drafted to serve Israeli interests and that “no part of it would ultimately be accepted.”
The recent agreement between the State of Lebanon and Israel caused skepticism even among bourgeois media and analysts, who have pointed out that pushing the disarmament of Hezbollah is deepening the internal contradiction in the area.
