Ireland – Resistance Grows As IRPWA Holds Successful Dungannon Meeting

We hereby share a report by the Irish Republican Prisoner Welfare Association (IRPWA) published on Sunday 19th of July.

Today, the Irish Republican Prisoners Welfare Association held another hugely successful public meeting in Kevin Barry House, Dungannon.

Attendees heard first-hand accounts of the ongoing state oppression faced by our POWs, our activists, and their family members. They also heard a presentation on MARA (Multi Agency Review Arrangements), another draconian mechanism used against Irish Republican prisoners.

The IRPWA thanks everyone who attended, spoke out, and left with a greater understanding of these issues. Your presence demonstrated that repression will be met with resistance, and that intimidation will only strengthen our resolve as Irish Republicans.

This struggle does not end with a single meeting. The IRPWA will continue to expose colonial-capitalist repression and state oppression while building resistance from the ground up. We urge everyone to help break the silence surrounding these issues, mobilize others, and attend future IRPWA events.
