Upcoming Demonstration in Mexico and Actions Carried Out in Several Countries for the International Day of the Detained-Disappeared

August 30 is the International Day of the Detained-Disappeared. The Front of the People – Red Sun Mexico, along with numerous other organizations, has called for a demonstration in Oaxaca demanding the presentation alive of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García, who was disappeared by the State more than eight years ago, and condemning the State for the more than 135,000 disappeared persons in Mexico.
Posters have been put up at the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca (UABJO), at Ciudad Universitaria, in various rural areas and neighborhoods of Oaxaca, and at the Autonomous University of Mexico City (UACM), at the Valle and San Lorenzo Tezonco campuses.





The Anti-imperialist Front (FAI) – Chile also put up posters demanding presentation alive of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García, in La Serena, Coquimbo region:
