ANNOUNCEMENT: El Heraldo Rojo Will Be Automatically Translated

Dear readers,

During more than three years, we have been publishing our own articles and shared translations of other web-pages in English and in Spanish, making manual translations for each language dedicating a great amount of time and effort. As we believe most of you can imagine this, the effort to keep our page bilingual has demanded a lot of attention and energy. The daily work done by our translators, spending hours daily on pro bono work and still earning a livelihood, is impressive. Due to changes in the particular situation of these comrades, they can not keep up with such a workload. We have tried to find a replacement, but so far this has not been possible. So we must, for the moment, abandon the manual translation of The Red Herald into Spanish.

But, we do not want to suspend the publication of El Heraldo Rojo. We have found a temporary technical solution for the Spanish content.

El Heraldo Rojo continues its daily content and will publish the same articles as The Red Herald, but now the original publications in other languages than Spanish will go through an automatic translation generated with so-called “Artificial Intelligence”. We are very aware that this will imply a strongly increased risk of mistakes in the translations and hence we ask those readers who follow our page in Spanish to contact us, if you find important errors of translation which alters the content of the articles.

We hope, that in not too distant future, we will once again be able to find collaborators ready to shoulder this work. We stay committed to develop our humble news service to serve more and better our internationalist common undertaking.
