Some Recent Actions in Solidarity with the People of India
In relation to the International Day of Action in Solidarity with the People of India September 26, and the Week of Action lasting until October 3, several actions have been carried out internationally. We hereby share actions carried out.
Revolutionary Student – Youth Movement of Bangladesh held a rally on the occasion of the international day of action on September 26 under the slogan “Immediate Release of All Political Prisoners in India and an End to Repression, Massacres and Ethnic Oppression Demanded”
We have received per email posters circulated by People’s Democratic Student Unity (PDSU) of Bangladesh on the occasion of the international day of struggle.
A solidarity action was carried out in Bern, Switzerland, during a demonstration protesting deportations, where a statement issued by IDHF, AVEG-KON, ATIK, BIR-KAR, PDD, ITIF and MOR KIZIL COLLECTIVE was read. The statement denounced the fascist attacks of the old Indian State and the death sentence issued to the 10 Maoists, and expressed solidarity with the People’s War being waged in India.
During a solidarity event with the Municipality of Hozat held in Bischofsheim/Rüsselsheim, Germany, Partizan and Roter Bund carried out a solidarity action in solidarity with the people of India. We share the images published by AIL:
AIL Section France has called for a demonstration in solidarity with the Indian people on September 29.
There have been reports of actions carried out in India, where students reportedly entered a police station and left a red flag with a letter condemning the recent death sentence of 10 maoists. A similar action was also carried out at a municipal building, where a letter and red flag was hung on the fence of the building.
Additionally, Campaign Against State Repression (CASR) of India published a statement calling for the release of political prisoner Vishal Singh, and condemning the killing of political prisoners and the Lucknow Conspiracy Case.
The Joint Committee to Stop Repression in India (JCSRI) participated in demonstrations and actions in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Sheffield, Britain, as part of the call for the international day of action on September 26. The demonstration called for the release of all political prisoners, and denounced the Lucknow Conspiracy Case.
Secours Rouge have published poster actions carried out in Toulouse, France, for the international day of action in support of the people of India.
Jal-Jangal-Jameen – US Solidarity Committee with the People of India has shared the call from AIL, urging people in the US to take immediate action in international solidarity in the week of action from September 26 to October 3.
Stop Operation Kagar NYC have published a statement in support of the People’s War in India, in honor of the martyrs and for the freedom of political prisoners.
We have recently shared the call of the International Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) titled “STRENGTHEN THE INTERNATIONAL REVOLUTIONARY SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF INDIA!” published on September 22, for the ongoing week of action in solidarity with the Indian People, which has also been translated into several languages.
