In less than a month, 3 people have been murdered by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the United States. On September 18, an immigrant from Costa Rica died after not receiving the proper treatment for his diabetes while in ICE custody, and on September 29, another Peruvian immigrant died after a medical emergency was disregarded, also in ICE custody. In a third murder, a Guatemalan man died to his injuries after a car crash following an ICE arrest attempt on September 20.

Between September 2019 and September 2026, 33 people died while in ICE custody, according to mortality reviews published by ICE. Of these 33, 27 of the deaths found care to be below the safe practice limits.

On September 18, a Venezuelan man was shot by ICE officers as he was working as a DoorDash driver, after attempting to pull over during an ICE encounter. The Worker reports that, in response to the shooting, a spontaneous protest erupted, forcing the ICE agents and local law enforcement out of the area.

On October 5, a man was shot by ICE agents while his 5 year old son was sitting in the backseat of his car. In response to the shooting, hundreds of protesters marched to the hospital in which the man was being treated, and five of the protesters were arrested during struggle with the police.

Despite these numbers being official numbers of the State, it gives an indication of the extent of the crimes against the people, principally against Latin American immigrants, which comes in a long line of attacks, against which popular struggle is developing throughout the country.
