Thousands of Women Took to the Streets on 25N in Turkey

Yesterday, there were numerous mobilizations in Turkey on the occasion of the International Day Against Violence Against Women.

We report on some of these actions, as reported by Women of New Democracy and the newspaper Yeni Demokrasi:

In Istanbul, thousands filled Taksim Square despite the massive police mobilization by the Turkish State.

Placards in solidarity with the People’s War in India and the Adivasi women who are facing the attacks by the old Indian State:

The police brutally attacked the protesters and detained many activists.

There was a large mobilization called by the Women’s Platform in Ankara.

Thousands took to the streets in Dersim.

Thousands also took to the streets in Antep.
