VIDEO: Irish Activists Arrested in Dublin

We hereby share a report and a video published by An Phoblacht Abú on a repressive case in Ireland.

Anti Imperialist Action Ireland strongly condemns the arrest of a number of people last night as they attempted to prevent an illegal eviction in Dublin 7.

Those arrested were held over night and were further assaulted by Garda thugs, before appearing in court this morning and were released on bail to appear again next year.

AIA further condemn last night’s violent eviction that saw the Free State Police used as a private army for a landlord. Those supporting the residents of the house were attacked and pepper sprayed by thugs in uniform.

Evictions have no place in Ireland. A People’s movement to smash Landlordism is needed. More details on this event will be released as we have them.
