Custodial Murder of Prashant Bose Internationally Condemned

Prashant Bose, alias ‘Kishan Da’, passed away on Friday at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi after his health deteriorated. Prashant Bose was over 80 years old and developed severe breathing difficulties in the early hours of Friday. As denounced by many organizations and newspapers in India and abroad, he passed away while he was imprisoned, completely lacking medical attention. He requested to be released on bail, and despite his advanced age and health issues, this request was denied.
Several organizations in India condemned the murder of Prashant Bose.
The Revolutionary Students’ Front (RSF) issued a statement, paid tribute to him and demanded proper treatment and the respect for the democratic rights of political prisoners:
