Spanish State: The Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) Organizes Anti-imperialist Event in Valencia

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a note published by Servir al Pueblo on the 8th of May.

According to a post on its Instagram account, the Spanish Section of the International Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) is organizing an anti-imperialist and anti-repression event for next Saturday, May 23, at the Alquería Popular de Malilla (located within the park and urban garden in the Malilla neighborhood of Valencia).

In the morning, the event will feature a roundtable discussion on the anti-imperialist struggle, with the participation of organizations such as the Workers Union Coordination (COS), the Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain (PCPE), the National Campaign Against Genocide and Repression in India (CEGIR), Health Workers for Palestine, the Revolutionary Committee of Valencia, and the pro-independence youth organization Arran. Fayed Badawi, former spokesperson for Europe of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), will also speak.

At noon, there will be a community lunch, with vegan and halal options available.

In the afternoon, there will be an open-mic event for groups and individuals who wish to speak. There will also be a small popular market, with tables displaying informational materials from the participating organizations.

The event organizers are asking attendees to bring rice or legumes to support the Alquería Popular food network, which feeds several families in the neighborhood.
