Hamas has confirmed that Izz ad-Din al-Haddad, commander-in-chief of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, was murdered along with his wife and daughter in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on Friday the 15th.
Israel has with these murders shown once again that ceasefires is mere words on a paper for them, not preventing them from continuing their onslaught on the people of Gaza, adding now even more civilian murders to their long list of war crimes.
Israel alleges that Haddad was one of the last remaining senior commanders involved in the planning of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. According to various bourgeois media, he had avoided six previous assassination attempts, and was known as “The Ghost of al-Qassam” due to his illusive nature, and his apparent ability to vanish before strikes closed in on him.
A funeral procession was held for Haddad, starting at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Mosque in Gaza City.
