Turkey: Police attack anti-NATO protests in Ankara

Police attacked a crowd that had gathered in Ankara to protest the NATO Summit.
Police attacked a crowd that had gathered at Kurtuluş Park at 10:00 AM in response to a call for a “No to NATO Coordination”.
A large number of people, including MPs Erkan Baş, Sera Kadıgil, Keziban Konukçu, Perihan Koca, İskender Bayhan and Sevda Karaca, were surrounded by police.
Police surrounded the crowd with shields to prevent journalists from taking pictures, and also drove the journalists away.
Following the attack, numerous individuals were taken into custody with their hands cuffed behind their backs. One person was seen being held in a chokehold inside the police vehicle.
