Sol Rojo Mexico: Declaration of Solidarity with the Peoples of Our America
We hereby share an unofficial translation of the statement published by Sol Rojo on July 16th
PROLETARIANS AND OPPRESSED PEOPLES OF WORLD, UNITE!
The second plenary session of the National Steering Committee (CDN) of the Front The People— Sol Rojo has recently met and conducted a comprehensive analysis of the international situation in the face of the deepening general crisis of Imperialism and the preparations for a new imperialist world war. Through this analysis, our CDN has paid particular attention to the situation that unfolds in Our America in the face of the deepening of structural crisis of bureaucratic capitalism and the rise of fascism under the shield of Yankee imperialism.
DECLARATION OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLES OF OUR AMERICA
Comrades:
From our firm trench of struggle in Anáhuac and guided by the imperishable light of the scientific ideology of the proletariat, we raise this cry of combat and solidarity that does not arise from academic comfort, but from the heat of the class struggle which we are immersed in. Historically, between 1960s and the end of the 20th century, Yankee imperialism has imposed mass terror on our continent through Operation Condor, with military dictatorships and fascist regimes that perpetrated all a kinds of massacres financed from Washington to crush any attempt of revolution in Our America.
Today, the oppressor’s claws are once again on the offensive, their so-called “Shield of the Americas,” resorting to the bourgeois electoral farce and media control to impose lackey and openly fascist governments, demonstrating that the bourgeois electoral process does not exist for the benefit of the masses, but is instead a complete farce organized by and for the ruling classes.
Bourgeois elections in the Third World countries are a trap, a dead end meticulously designed to ensure that the poor never gain access to power. The electoral system is designed to legitimize the big landlord-bureaucratic States that carry out the orders of Yankee imperialism in the region. What we are seeing today from Patagonia to Honduras is a clear expression of this, with the brazen interference of Yankee imperialism, that takes advantage of the historical decline of social democracy and opportunism in the region to play the fascist card.
The return of the fascist regimes in Our America bring back terror, reaction all a long the line, repression and the most rancid anti-communism. Their objective is to drown the rebellion of the masses in blood and fire and prevent the revolutionary uprising. Being in that same vein is their cynical tale of “fight against the drug trafficking”—a multi-billion-dollar business governed, armed, and laundered by them—serves as the perfect excuse to militarize our territories and to persecute popular struggles. This is war against the people. And it is unjust and reactionary war, which can only be crushed by People’s War, which is just and revolutionary war.
The current situation in the region demands that we demonstrate class solidarity—militant, combative, and internationalist—by raising the banners of anti-fascism and anti-imperialism as high as possible throughout our continent.
In light of this situation, the Front The People–Red Sun stands in solidarity with the struggles of the workers and peoples of Our America, reaffirming our complete class solidarity with each of them, and denouncing the reactionary attacks in the various countries of the region.
In Chile, the approach of surrender of the reformists’ ultimately paved the way for the return of fascist reaction, concentrated today under the mandate of José Antonio Kast, a regime of the the far right, which is now advancing with disastrous reforms aimed at implementing a broader employer control over jobs and privatization of public education, which he completed, turning it into an indoctrination apparatus. pro-imperialist while the State continues to militarize Wallmapu, persecuting the Mapuche people and imprisoning those who defend the land and oppose large transnational capital.
In Peru, the institutional farce has reached its most rotten point with the imposition—through blatant electoral fraud—of Keiko Fujimori, consolidating the return of a mafia-like, dynastic dictatorship, a criminal regime that starves its people, shielded by the bourgeois parliament that murders peasants and indigenous people with total impunity in order to throw the doors wide open to imperialist mining companies at the cost of workers’ blood.
In Colombia, the fraudulent rise of the far-right politician Abelardo de la Espriella confirms once again, that the electoral path for the wealthy is rigged from the ground up and serves only to perpetuate the mafia-style paramilitarism backed by the Pentagon, which continues to massacre social leaders and tear apart the fabric of society to demonstrate that the peace of those in power is nothing more than a continuation of the war against the people.
Meanwhile, in Ecuador, the fascist Daniel Noboa has turned the country into a laboratory of terror, privatizing basic services, plunging the masses into misery, and openly allying himself with the Yankee military boot that has intervened in the country under the false pretext of security—which they themselves destroyed.
In Venezuela, that scoundrel Delcy Rodríguez has played her role as a traitor, collaborating with Yankee imperialism in the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, throwing the country wide open to the gringos, and handing over the oil and national wealth to them. The earthquakes that recently shook the country have shown that the Venezuelan State’s complete subservience to Donald Trump has been for nothing.
The case of Bolivia deserves special attention and revolutionary alarm, where the implosion of populist reformism paved the way for the reactionary forces, bringing to power the right-wing government of Rodrigo Paz Pereira, which—by imposing massive debts on imperialist financial institutions—seeks to hand over strategic resources such as lithium, an outrage to which the Bolivian people have responded with what they do best: militant and mass mobilization, paralyzing the country for more than 50 days in a historic armed strike joined by rural and mining rebellions, confronting the betrayal of the reformist leadership and the state of emergency.
Today, Central America is also a hotbed of exploitation and dispossession where the people are under redoubled oppression. In Panama, the oligarchy keeps the country chained as the main financial and logistical enclave of Yankee capital, brutally repressing workers’ strikes and the popular outcry against the plundering of its natural resources. In Honduras, imperialism sabotages and infiltrates every sphere to prevent sovereignty, while transnational corporations impose extractive projects that devastate communities and murder those who defend the rivers. In Nicaragua, ideological deviation, bureaucratization, and the bourgeoisification of the ruling clique have nullified the historic demands of a people who fought courageously for a free homeland.
We look upon Cuba with deep respect and militant solidarity as it resists, with historic dignity, a suffocating and illegal blockade that imperialism is viciously intensifying in an attempt to force the hand of a people who refuse to become Washington’s brothel yet again.
Imperialism offers nothing but death and destruction to oppressed peoples and nations. On the other hand, bureaucratic capitalism is sterile and irrational, and has nothing to offer to the masses. Given this, the solidarity among peoples cannot be passive or based on pity; it must be an organized material force in defense of the life, land, and territory against the latifundium, imperialism and bureaucratic capitalism— the three great mountains that oppress our peoples. That is why we emphasize that, amid this scenario of North-American fraud and interference, the only correct tactic in the face of the bourgeois electoral farce is an active and militant BOYCOTT, involving the broad masses of the people in combative and forceful actions that give no respite to the enemies of the people. If there is no justice for the people, let there be no peace for the government!
In Our America, we democratic-revolutionary organizations have the urgent task of organizing the broadest and deepest masses of the people, building our organizations around three central characteristics: 1) Committed to the scientific ideology of the proletariat, 2) Adhering to democratic centralism, and 3) As authentic mass organizations. This means scientifically organizing poverty, forming New Power in the perspective of revolution that Our America demands. We raise high the red banners of theInternational Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) calling on the peoples of the continent to make them their own for the revolutionary struggle.
In this way, applying the great truth that imperialism and all reactionaries are paper tigers, we call for the unwavering unity of the exploited and oppressed to to sweep away the false democracies of the bourgeoisie and conquer our true and definitive emancipation through the New Democratic Revolution, agrarian and anti-imperialist, uninterrupted toward the Socialist Revolution.
In this way, applying the great truth that imperialism and all reactionaries are paper tigers, we call for the unbreakable unity of the exploited and oppressed to sweep away the bourgeoisie’s false democracies and achieve our true and definitive emancipation through the New Democratic, agrarian and anti-imperialist, Revolution, continuing uninterrupted towards the Socialist Revolution.
Yankee hands off Our America and The Caribbean!
Anti-imperialists of the world, unite!
